Hero Characters

These are the new main characters you will get to love or hate in our expansion.

Sargeraas
Unit: Cerebrate
Brood: Makara Brood (The Makara is a beast from mythology that is part animal/part fish. Various animal combinations are used in the illustrations of this creature, and therefore the "combining" element of this creature is appropriate for a Brood of such a specific task.)
Role: Assimilation
Quote: "Death to all who oppose the Queen of Blades!"
Sargeras is Kerrigan's personal cerebrate. He has been put in charge of the assimilation of new species into the Hive. He is pompous and arrogant, as well as single-minded in his task: to mutate, twist, and warp all potentially advantagous species, great and small, into killing machines to serve Kerrigan. The opportunity to incorporate powerful and psionically gifted Terrans into the swarm appears to be too good to pass up.

Praetor Drejan
Unit: Zealot/Talon
Quote: "Behold the technological terrors I have wrought!"
Drejan has been appointed to supervise the rebuilding of the battered Protoss fleet as well as the construction of new machines of war to aid them in their fight. On a secluded rim planet called Rigel, scores of Protoss soldiers and engineers work under his supervision on a new army to circumvent the Zerg hordes. The greatest of his achievements is the design of the Talon, a symbol of the new cooperation and united defense between the Khalai and Dark Templar. With progress set back due to internal sabotage by opponents of reunification, Drejan desperately feels the need for a remedy to the quickly degenerating situation. With a mind that is more suited to machines than social skills, he will resort to whatever it takes to stabilize production and help his race to defeat its enemies.

Samuel Kynes
Unit:Oracle
Quote: "Never be in the company of anyone with whom you would not want to die."
Kynes is a peaceful man who is forced into action when his desert colony is threatened by Zerg forces. He belongs to a community that settled the harsh world of Coriolis VI to escape Dominion rule. Kynes currently works as a moisture farmer in order to keep his colony supplied with precious water. He, as well other members of the colony, developed very strong telepathic abilities shortly after their arrival on Coriolis, when a strange atmospheric disturbance was spotted in the distance, and a fierce electrical storm ravaged the colony shortly after.
