Stalker Portrait
Stalker Unit
Terran Stalker    [Stalker Media]
Role: Light Assault Trooper
Armament: Hostile Environment Suit
               Reinforced Titanium Blades

These brave women place their lives on the line by darting in and attacking at close range with their reinforced titanium blades. While the Terrans now have the choice of Firebats or Stalkers as melee attackers, the Stalker is stronger and quicker. Additionally, Stalkers have benefieted more than most from a sudden increase in general psionic capabilities among the Terran race. Specifically, they have developed the ability to generate psionic shields similar to those used by all Templar forces. This has proved invaluable in prolonging the lives of these lightly armored women.

ATTV Portrait
ATTV Unit
Terran ATTV
Role: Armored Personnel Carrier
Armament: None

This, the latest model of Terran engineering and transport design, is equiped for a multitude of tasks, including carrying men into battle behind an advancing front. Additionally, the ATTV utilizes a technology similar to that of the Bunker, which allows units traveling inside to fire on enemy units that come in range.

(NO PHOTO AVAILABLE)Terran Phoenix
Role: Aerial Combat Trooper
Armament: CMC-660 Heavy Combat Suit
               Personal Aerial Maneuvering System
               J-12 Rocket Launcher

The Personal Aerial Maneuvering System is a remarkable new invention. It allows Phoenixes to make escapes from hazardous situations and adds maneuverability, speed, and air support to the Terran Infantry, as well as greater scouting abilities. The Pheonix has two modes: a landed mode, in which it acts as normal infantry unit, and an aerial mode, in which it can fly.

Personal Aerial Maneuvering (PAM) System
   Personal Aerial Maneuvering (PAM) System
The PAM System is now an upgrade to the Terran Firebat that may be researched. Once researched, the Firebat will have the option to be out-fitted with a special rocket pack. Once the unit has a PAM System it cannot become a normal infantry unit again and will sacrifice StimTech and any other previous abilities.
Oracle Portrait
Oracle Unit
Terran Oracle    [Oracle Media]
Role: Psionic Assault Trooper
Armament: CMC-300 Powered Combat Suit

The Terran Oracle is the most prominent result of the new path that Terrans have been forced onto concerning their evolution. These elite warriors already had a mild psionic rating and may have had Ghost training. When the psionic shockwave passed through the Koprulu Sector, these people began to develop enhanced powers and psionic abilities that rivaled even those of the Templar themselves. With this new-found psionic power, the role Terrans play in the fate of the Sector will be greatly increased.

   Pyrokinesis
The Oracle has the ability to focus his powers into another unit and cause spontaneous combustion. He also has the power to control these flames, and they cannot be extinguished as long as he lives.
   Psionic Pulse-wave
Through intense concentration, the Oracle can create and project a psionic charge that quickly deteriorates and causes a painful psionic shockwave.
Bomber Portrait

Bomber Unit

Terran Bomber    [Bomber Media]
Role: Heavy Assault Bomber
Armament: Devastator Shock Bombs

The Terran Bomber is a sleek new craft built to wear down armies and fortifications on the ground with its powerful Shock Bombs. These bombs were designed for Dropships, but later removed to increase cargo space. Built with a new aerodynamic design based on the study of Protoss aircraft, a squadron of Bombers supported by fighter cover can be an effective method of pounding your enemies into submission.

Acolyte Portrait

Acolyte Unit

Protoss Acolyte    [Acolyte Media]
Role: Heavy Assault Fighter
Armament: Modified Phase Disrupter Cannon

These swift fighters are used primarily for light skirmishes and scouting. Their weapons are modified from that of a Dragoon's, making the Phase Disrupter Cannons lighter and more compact, but in effect, they lose a little punch. These are most often seen flying over the blue waters of Shakuras, as they are a combination of Khalai and Dark Templar design.

Negator Portrait

Negator Unit

Protoss Negator    [Negator Media]
Role: Elite Psionic Warrior
Armament: Khaydarin Blade

These powerful warriors are former Templar who have reverted to the ways of the great Protoss warriors of the Aeon of Strife. Wielding rough swords hewn from Khaydarin Crystal, they are formidable opponents against any ground units. Their psionic abilities are used both to cast their time-warp spell and to release pure energy at their enemies through their mystic swords.

   Temporal Acceleration
Channeling both the energies of the Khala and of the Void, the Negator can manipulate local space-time, speeding up his temporal perception. This allows him both to move at far beyond his normal speed and to remain invisible to all units in normal time, excepting only the most advanced sensor arrays.
   Energy Transference
Because the Negator is completely reliant upon his own psionic energies, he can draw energy away from his shields to use in other psionic activities.
Talon Portrait

Talon Unit
(IMAGE NOT TO SCALE)

Protoss Talon    [Talon Media]
Role: Specialized Heavy Cruiser
Armament: Psionic Focal Array

The Protoss Talon is the pinnacle of Protoss warship design. With aid from their now reunited Dark Templar brethren, the Protoss have created the most destructive battleship ever conceived. It has impressive air and ground attacking capabilities, but it's main weapon is the Psionic Energy Discharge, a devastating weapon of mass destruction.

   Psionic Energy Discharge
Only a Light and a Dark Archon working in tandem can safely channel the immense volume of psionic energy needed to power the Talon's primary weapon. Together they are able to focus a highly volatile psionic blast through the Kaydarin array, which transforms it into an immensely destructive beam. Once this beam hits the ground, nothing can stand in its way as it's shockwave has an estimated blast radius of nearly 10 kilometers.
APC Portrait

APC Unit

Protoss "Amphibious APC"
Role: Armored Personnel Carrier
Armament: None

Recent advances in hover technology have prompted the development of this new transport. It has the ability to travel at high velocities over virtually any terrain, including water. Although it has less cargo space than the Shuttle, its immunity to anti-air defenses makes it uniquely useful in wetlands and simliar environments.

   "Terrain Change"
While the Amphibious APC generally uses an adapted version of the Limited Gravity technology borrowed from the Terrans, many newer APCs are fitted with special Antigravition Field Generators, which allow them to attain low-altitude flight, suitable for for moving past cliffs and similar obstacles. These engines require huge amounts of power, so the craft's generators must recharge after each use.
Khalai Portrait

Khalai Unit

Protoss Khalai Worker    [Khalai Media]
Role: Special Non-combat Unit
Armament: None

A non-attacking unit, the Khalai Worker is essentially a Protoss Civilian, and will only be available in StarEdit.

(NO PHOTO AVAILABLE)
Wurm Unit
Zerg Wurm    [Wurm Media]
Role: Light Stealth Warrior
Core Genus: Original Zerg Strain
Primary Attack: Dorsal Claws

This horrific creature was mutated from the same Zerg strain as the lowly Zerg Larva. Although this unit can only attack while above ground, it can move underground, making it a stealthy assassin for the Zerg. Don't let it's small and unassuming manner deceive-- it's razor sharp claws can pierce armor as effectively as any other Zerg creature.

   Tunnel
The Wurm manifests the newest result of Kerrigan's fascination with cloaking. Once burrowed, the Wurm is designed to move great distances underground before surfacing, while remaining invisible to most units above ground. The only means of ground evacuation from a Wurm attack is to cross a body of water, as they can rarely burrow deep enough to pass water formations.
Gorgolisk Portrait
Gorgolisk Unit
Zerg Gorgolisk    [Gorgolisk Media]
Role: Medium Stealth Warrior
Core Genus: Aiurian Tree Snake
Primary Attack: Projectile Venom

Mutated from one of Aiur's most deadly serpents, this creature was created after several months of Zerg occupation of Aiur. It attacks with a deadly acidic venom that is equally effective on both organic and mechanical units. It was named after the Gorgon, a hideous serpentine creature from ancient Terran mythology.

   Camouflage
The Gorgolisk retains one of the Tree Serpent's most frightening abilities: like the Terran lizard Chameleon, it can change its skin tones to blend into the surrounding terrain. Unless it is actually moving, the Gorgolisk remains all but invisible to most enemies.
Creeper Portrait
Creeper Unit
Zerg Creeper    [Creeper Media]
Role: Mobile Base Supporter
Core Genus: Terran Ground Slug
Primary Attack: None

This lumbering behemoth is the result of Zerg evolutions inflicted upon common slugs found indigenous to many planets. The trail of organic slime left by these slugs fascinated Cerebrates, and after much experimentation, it was discovered that the slug's glands could be altered to secrete the Creep vital to Zerg structures. Increased in size a hundredfold, these Creepers are now used as mobile Creep Colonies and are essential in creating outposts far from the central Hive Cluster.

Gargoyle Unit
Zerg Gargoyle
Role: Light Engagement Flyer
Core Genus: Shakuras Kakaru
Primary Attack: Claws

Bred during the short Zerg occupation of Shakuras, these nightmarish creatures were first encountered shortly after the retreat of UED forces from the Koprulu Sector. Unnervingly, these bat-like creatures drop from the sky to harass ground forces with their vicious clawed wings.

(NO PHOTO AVAILABLE)
Leech Unit
Zerg "Gopher"
Role: Heavy Stealth Transport
Core Genus:
Armament: None

Due to the vulnerability of the slow and bulky Overlords when transporting units to the front lines, this new form of ground-based transport has been developed. While it has less carrying capacity than the Overlord, the Gopher has a major advantage over its airborne counterpart: it can travel with complete stealth by tunneling under enemy forces and defenses.

   Tunnel
Like the Wurm, the Gopher has the ability to move while burrowed. This is especially useful to the Gopher, however, because it can unload any units it is carrying without surfacing. While this limits the Gopher to carrying only burrowing units, it is well worth the tradeoff.

Protoss Warp Gate Warp Gate

The recent battles with the Zerg have demonstrated undeniably that the traditional lack of mobility in the Templar forces is one of its greatest liabilities. Because of this, smaller versions of the great Warp Gates that the Protoss Empire has long used to link its many planets together have been designed for battlefield use. These Gates are much less powerful, but their range is more than sufficient for quick movement between outposts during a campaign, and they are efficient enough to be powered by even a simple Psionic Matrix.

Xel'Naga Laboratory Xel'Naga Laboratory

This structure was discovered by the pirate militia that witnessed its activation (The 'temple' in the Precursor Story). Unfortunately, the pirates did not live to tell others about it, and so the rest of the Koprulu Sector must find the source of the evolutionary change on their own.

Aiurian Towers Aiurian Skyscrapers

These "civilian" structures are included as purely visual effects, but unlike doodads, they can be destroyed.

Psionic Dampener Psionic Dampener

Based on the Psionic Disrupter built during the Brood Wars and improving upon it with their new found knowledge of psionics, the Terrans have developed a structure that emits a constant pulse that hampers any electrical energy, specifically psionic energies, within its range.

(NO PHOTO AVAILABLE) Terran Cities

These "civilian" structures are included as purely visual effects, but unlike doodads, they can be destroyed.

Zerg Building "Zerus Flytrap"

This structure will be a new form of static defense for the Zerg Swarm. The only defensive structure with the ability to burrow, it waits underground for enemy units to pass over it. When one does, it shoots up, grabs it, and pulls it back under. After a short digestion cycle, it is ready to strike again. This structure is nourished completely by its victims, and does not require Creep to build on.
